Parco del Roccolo: The Unbeatable View Over Lake Pusiano

How To Get There And What To Expect

Getting to the park is straightforward enough, but you do need a bit of a plan. Put Via dell’Alpetto 1, Cesana Brianza into Google Maps: this is as far as you can drive. From this address, it is a 10 to 15 minute walk uphill to reach the park. It is a bit of a climb, but the path is well-marked and the views along the way are worth it.

The Bonus Route: Madonna Della Neve

If you would like to go a little further, follow the signposts for Madonna della Neve towards the back of the park. You will reach a beautiful little sanctuary in around 10 to 15 minutes from the park.

Park Life and Picnic Spots

The park itself is perfectly set up for a slow afternoon. There are plenty of benches positioned along the ridge that look directly out over Lake Pusiano. If you are travelling with kids, there is a playground and even a mini zip-line swing to keep them occupied while you actually get a chance to sit down and relax.

For those who enjoy an outdoor lunch, the picnic setup is top-tier. There is a dedicated area with tables and bins to put your waste in afterwards. If you prefer something a bit more casual, there is loads of space on the grass to bring a blanket, find a flat spot, and just soak up the nature.

A Full Day Exploring The Brianza Lakes

In the spring and summer when the weather is hotter, I would highly recommend the route I took last May. You can start your day at Lago di Segrino. Spend the morning lounging by the lake at the Lido, then taking the 45min to an hour-long walk up to Parco del Roccolo. We packed a picnic, hiked up in the late afternoon, and watched the sunset over Lake Pusiano from the park. It is, without a doubt, the best way to end the day.

Planning Your Full Day Trip

If you want to do this route, check out my guide to [Lago di Segrino: The 5km Loop and Lido]. I would highly recommend the route I took last May. If you fancy a morning or an afternoon just chilling by the lake with a pool, the Lido del Segrino is the place to be.

Ready for that Aperitivo?

Bar Gelateria Pusiano is only a 10 minute drive from the park. It has an incredible view of the lake, especially at sunset. Check out my full guide on Bar Gelateria Pusiano here and the Lore of the Island of Cypresses.
