The 5km Loop: Nature without the Noise

The highlight for many is the 5km walking path that circles the entire lake. It’s a flat, paved, and incredibly scenic route. Whether you’re looking for a morning run or a slow afternoon stroll, the views of the surrounding green hills reflecting in the still water are unmatched.

As it’s a protected park, there are no motorboats. The only sound you’ll hear is the birds and the occasional rustle in the reeds.

Lido Del Segrino: A Practical Summer Guide

If you are looking to do things comfortably, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas to save yourself from the midday sun. The prices tend to fluctuate depending on the day of the week and how far into the season you are, so it is worth your while checking the [Lido’s booking page] before you head out to see the latest rates.

The Budget Friendly Approach

For those who want to keep the day a bit more economical, you can pay a small fee of €7-10. This gives you full access to the facilities, including the pool, the lake and the changing rooms. Instead of a sun bed, you can chose any part of the grass to lay your towel down on.

Something You Should Know Before You Go…

Let me give you a heads-up about the grass situation….While it sounds like a good way to save a few euros, the local geese have a different set of priorities. Last time I tried this, I ended up destroying two beach towels because the grass was full of their poo. The staff mentioned how it’s nearly impossible for them to keep up with the cleanup every morning. So, watch out!

The Ultimate Day Trip: Lago del Segrino to Parco del Roccolo

If you’re feeling active, do what we did last May: Spend the morning and afternoon lounging and swimming at the Lido, then grab your shoes and walk from the lake up to Parco del Roccolo. It’s about an hour-long walk, but it takes you from the water’s edge to an unbeatable viewpoint overlooking Lake Pusiano. We packed a picnic, watched the sunset from the top, and it was the perfect, peaceful end to the day.
