home to those jagged Odle (Geisler) peaks you see on every postcard, but being there in person where the air is crisp and the only sound is the occasional cowbell is something else entirely. We visited in October for the golden autumn colours, though this itinerary is just as spectacular in Spring and Summer when the trails are fully open.
